Mr. Richard Thomas, aka "Lion Heart" on RCSB, an English scale modeler and host of Flugtag 2007 cancelled his German themed fly-in fearing high cost of gasoline would result in few attendees. Richard bailed 3 weeks before event date resulting in sanction and costly preparations being cancelled without recovery.

If you are one of many who looked forward to this event and disappointed with its cancellation, Mr. Delbert Leisure in Indiana hosts a similar event each year at the AMA's HQ X Pad. The Great Turkey Shoot. is a 16
